As the oldest students in the building, our Grade As the oldest students in the building, our Grade 5 students lead by example each day — helping younger students, modeling respect, and setting the tone for our school community.

Whether caring for their Grade 1 buddies or stepping up to help lead all-school activities with Coach Kay, they show that leadership grows through kindness, responsibility, and teamwork.

We are so proud of the example they set for our entire Grace community. 💙

✨ Learning, creativity, and celebration at Campfir ✨ Learning, creativity, and celebration at Campfire today. ✨

During this special all-school Campfire, our community gathered to honor Black History Month through music, art, and shared learning. Students in Kindergarten, Grade 1, and Grade 2 offered us a meaningful window into their learning process and creative exploration.

Students in Grade 2 and Grade 4 also shared their artwork inspired by Black artists and activists, explored how creativity, courage, and voice can shape communities and spark change. Through performance and artwork, they shared not only what they learned, but how inspiration turns into expression.

Around our Campfire this week, joy traveled across Around our Campfire this week, joy traveled across continents.

Ms. Brooker reminded us that more than **2 billion people worldwide** celebrate the Lunar New Year—and that this beautiful tradition spans communities in countries including China, Korea, Taiwan, and Vietnam.

In a joyful and affirming space, students shared their own family traditions—stories of special meals, red envelopes, ancestral remembrance, traditional clothing, and the hope that a new year brings. Their peers listened with curiosity and respect, learning not only about global celebrations, but about one another.

This is what Campfire is for: honoring identity, expanding understanding, and reminding every child that who they are—and where they come from—belongs here at Grace, together. 💙
