Join Girls on the Run for a Special Screening of “ANGST: Raising Awareness Around Anxiety” / Thursday, January 18th at 7PM, Walt Whitman High School
Spread the word. Believe change is possible. Girls on the Run in partnership with Walt Whitman Stressbusters, Walt Whitman Counseling Advisory Committee and Counseling Department are hosting a screening of “ANGST: Raising Awareness around Anxiety”. View the film trailer here.
This documentary explores anxiety, its causes and effects and what we can do about it. The film includes a special appearance and interview by 28-time Olympic medalist Michael Phelps as he shares his experience with anxiety. The screening is recommended for students ages 11+, family members, parents and educators all welcome. Anxiety disorders are real, common and treatable. Let’s start the conversation. Post-movie discussion to follow hosted by Lizbeth Moses, Ph.D. Clinical Psychologist/Psychoanalyst.
This special screening of “ANGST: Raising Awareness Around Anxiety” will take place on Thursday, January 18 at 7:00pm in the Walt Whitman High School Auditorium, 7100 Whittier Blvd, Bethesda, MD. Doors will open at 6:30pm. Tickets will go on sale through Eventbrite on Monday, December 11 at 8am.
