Students began by moving quietly through a beautiful labyrinth created by Grace parent and professional labyrinth creator @discoverlabyrinths, and then continued outside in the crisp winter air.

Led by our Kindness Crew and wrapped up with a prayer for peace, it was a meaningful moment of reflection, connection, and calm — a reminder that even small steps can make a difference.

Good morning, indeed. 💛 Today’s question on the b Good morning, indeed. 💛

Today’s question on the board invites our students to pause, notice, and reflect on something powerful: *how it feels when our ideas spark something in someone else.*

Moments like this—small, intentional, and deeply human—are where confidence, empathy, and belonging grow. ✨

Kind, specific, and helpful feedback is an essenti Kind, specific, and helpful feedback is an essential ingredient for learning. In Art class, the processes of giving and receiving feedback were examined through the Grade 4 cross-curricular theme of "perspective."

We wondered: What is "fed back" to us in a critique? Our own work! It is returned to us through the point of view and thoughtful engagement of a peer. This helps us see our work in a new way. Even more importantly, it brings home the understanding that:
Perspectives are unique, multiple, and valuable
Seeing things in new ways helps us all grow
Learning is communal, and we are responsible for one another as co-learners.

Grade 4 has taken these processes to heart, and it is very common to hear them informally give and receive kind, specific, and helpful feedback as they work in the art studio. They are truly a community of artists!
